Abstract

Rhabdomyosarcoma are soft tissue sarcomas arising from the primitive mesenchymal cells, common in children and adolescents, but rare in adults. A 19 years old girl diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma of cervix treated has been treated with fertility preserving options and is followed up for recurrence of tumor and reversibility of her menstrual function. After confirmation of diagnosis, chemotherapy cycles were given followed by conservative surgery. In the follow up, patient had recurrence. To preserve the fertility of young patient, radiotherapy was given after ovarian transposition, keeping in view the patient’s and her family’s desire to preserve fertility.  In last 18 months of follow up, patient has been found to be disease free. In recent years, conservative surgery and chemotherapy are the most favoured fertility preservation options in young patients with rhabdomyosarcoma. Radiotherapy along with laparoscopic ovaripexy is novel in management to preserve reproductive function.
